To design and deliver a unique lighting project to illuminate Perth’s Norie-Miller Walk, a riverside path in a public park. The project was to run over two weeks and three weekends and feature changing set pieces and themed attractions.
Over four consecutive years our events team created an annual, innovative carnival of light, constantly changing and developing. We planned, managed and delivered the technical site plan layout, security, stewarding and power along with lighting and effects. We liaised with multiple stakeholders including entertainment providers, stewarding companies and food vendors and developed themes with Perth Events team. 21CC Productions installation and design allowed the colours and projections throughout the event run to fit with the changing themes.
A magical wonderland lighting up the banks of the beautiful River Tay, enjoyed by increasing numbers of visitors each year. In 2019 approximately 58,000 people witnessed the dazzling display which ran over 16 days and is estimated to have generated a local economic benefit of more than £500,000. The changing themes included Dinosaur Night, Burns Night, Chinese New Year, St Valentine’s Day, Comicon and Magic and Wizardry. Keeping it fresh and exciting was a significant factor in the success of this public event.
