In recognition of her Majesty the Queen’s 70-year reign and in keeping with the long-standing tradition of lighting beacons for royal jubilee celebrations, 21CC Group were appointed as official suppliers to mark this very special and historical event. The beacons produced by 21CC Group were manufactured in Scotland and shipped across the world in time for the lighting ceremony taking place simultaneously across the globe on the 2nd June 2022.
Having provided a similar service at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, 21CC were able to draw on previous experience when producing the new Platinum Jubilee Beacon. Working with several UK suppliers, including Fountain Designs, Hamilton Gas, Eagle Couriers and BES, we brought together all the elements required to create the beacons, which were individually assembled, packed and distributed from 21CC Group’s Headquarters in South Queensferry, Scotland.
Our talented team managed the marketing, organising, planning and logistics for beacon events and deliveries to over 400 locations around the world, including Canada, New Zealand, St Kitts and The Pitcairn Islands. Our team were even invited to join the celebrations taking place in Hawaii.
A globally witnessed event, involving over 3,000 worldwide locations, many live on news channels around the world including the BBC and SkyNews, launching the start of a historical 4-day Jubilee celebration. The ceremonies surrounding the lighting of each beacon brought together families, communities and the whole commonwealth in joint celebration of this momentous occasion.
“I am delighted that the 21CC Group were an official supplier of Beacons for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, which were lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, UK Overseas Territories and in the Capital Cities of the Commonwealth. They looked amazing when lit and provided those using them with a first-class product that helped those nations taking part in this special tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, to celebrate this unique moment in The Queen’s life and in her reign too.”
