A private celebration at Kinross House called for something rather more memorable than a conventional evening of entertainment. Set against the backdrop of the historic estate, a bespoke mini tattoo brought performance and production together for one showpiece moment created exclusively for the client and their guests.
THE BRIEF
Make Kinross House part of the show. Rather than building a production in front of the venue, the aim was to use the house, grounds and surrounding landscape as the canvas.
Lighting, projection, lasers, audio and special effects needed to work as one synchronised experience, building towards a short but high-impact performance that could transform the estate after dark. And with a historic property as the setting, every technical decision needed to balance creative ambition with careful planning and delivery.
WHAT WE DID
We started with the house itself. A large-scale architectural lighting package picked out the façade, grounds and surrounding trees, while high-output moving heads sent beams into the night sky to extend the production beyond the building. Two 12K Panasonic laser projectors transformed the front of Kinross House with bespoke visual content, while four 30W RGB lasers added another layer of movement across the wider show.
Six G-Flames and four CO₂ jets were built into the show design, alongside outdoor fountains and a 40-metre fire tunnel, creating a sequence of effects around the house and performance area. A D&B audio system provided the soundtrack, while two 100kVA generators, power distribution and dedicated technical infrastructure kept the entire production running independently.
Behind the final show sat several days of build, programming, focusing and rehearsal, with our team managing event design, pre-production, planning, RAMS, artist management and show calling as part of the wider delivery.
THE RESULTS
For one night, Kinross House became the stage. Projection transformed the façade, lasers stretched the show into the grounds and a combination of flame, light and effects created a finale designed specifically around its setting. Rather than bringing a show to Kinross House, the production made the house itself part of the experience.
