Meet The Makers

In July 2025, Carlowrie Castle opened its gates to a rare and refined celebration of two of the world’s most storied pleasures: cigars and Scotch whisky.

Meet the Makers brought together makers, connoisseurs and aficionados for its inaugural UK event at Carlowrie Castle, with a full day of tastings, expert panels, entertainment and fundraising taking place throughout the castle and its grounds.

THE BRIEF

With an event built around craftsmanship and quality, the production needed to follow suit. Our teams delivered the technical production, atmospheric effects and event support across multiple spaces, while making sure everything sat naturally within the character of Carlowrie Castle.

That meant creating the AV environment for seminars and entertainment, transforming the temporary event space, adding atmosphere across the castle and grounds, and supporting the client with the detail behind the guest experience

WHAT WE DID

Architectural lighting brought Carlowrie to life inside and out, with SGM P6 and Helix fixtures illuminating the exterior and uplighting used throughout the castle and Orangery. Inside the main marquee, an LED wall and 65-inch repeater screens carried presentation and camera content, while a D&B audio system, Allen & Heath console and 12 wireless microphones supported a busy programme of speakers and entertainment.

Outside, our custom-built Flambeaux framed the entrance and garden spaces, creating a warm arrival and some pretty strong photo moments along the way. Our team designed bespoke branded backdrops, supported the auction and event dressing, managed show calling and stage activity, and coordinated pre-recorded event messaging.

THE RESULTS

One team across production, effects and event delivery meant the experience stayed connected from the first arrival through to the final moments of the evening. The technical side worked quietly behind the scenes while the castle, brands, speakers and entertainment took centre stage. Exactly where they should be.
