Yesterday 21cc Fireworks presented a special pyromusical display on Inchcape Green, Arbroath to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Bell Rock Lighthouse.
A rainbow of colours lit up the sky as thousands of people from around the world turned out to celebrate this special occasion. Company Director Geoff Crow said:
“Every so often a milestone event like this comes along and we are delighted to be a part of these celebrations. Our team have put a lot of effort into making this event a very special one to remember. Tonight has been as success, not only because of the teamwork between the different contractors, or because the event was safe, but because of the wide range of nationalities that were represented here tonight and the shear volume of families who have come to join these celebrations. People from all over the world have come to be a part of this. It’s incredible. The enormous cheer at the end of the show is what makes it all worth while.”
The pyrotechnic spectacle took over 6 months in the planning and was covered by the BBC, ITV and STV on the night. It was also represented by a number of national tabloids. The event gained wide appeal with interest from visitors around the globe and from members of the Royal Family. More information about the event and the tower itself can be found by clicking here.
