To shine a light on a multitude of key landmarks along the Union and Caledonian Canals as part of the celebratory anniversary activity.
Working closely with Scottish Canals from concept through to delivery we: reviewed appropriate locations; produced technical plans and health & safety reviews for each site; curated a bespoke technical installation for each event that included power, lighting, sound and projection in some instances.
The engagement of the 21CC Production team to lead, create and deliver the overall technical installations at each location meant the client had one contact to deal with from inception to delivery. The locations included Tomnahurich Bridge, Neptune’s Staircase, Pepperpot Lighthouse, Slateford Aqueduct and The Kelpies (projection only).
A nationwide, impactful series of illuminated landmarks celebrating the anniversaries of the Union and Caledonian canals. A creation of ‘beacons of light’ shining a light on the canals for all to spectate and enjoy for free. Over the course of the project, the installations received significant engagement over social media and yielded phenomenal attention from media, partners and press.
An incredibly happy client and attendees. Our client said…
“A very professional and friendly outfit who were extremely capable in driving forward our creative concepts and using our landmarks surrounding the canals as their canvas to create unique lighting installations in each location! 21CC truly made this historical anniversary one that will be remembered for years to come! We look forward to working with the team very soon.”
