With many free public firework displays being cancelled due to localised funding cuts at local authority level, we worked with designer and organiser GC Live to offer our technical expertise and introduce Scotland to a thrilling new series of family-friendly firework (Spooktaculars and Spectaculars) experiences staged at four locations and featuring an exciting programme of events with entertainment, fairground rides, fabulous food and drink and a magnificent 20-minute fireworks display choreographed to lights, lasers and music – all with a beautiful country house as a backdrop.
Along with the creation of London’s biggest eco and pet-friendly alternative to fireworks, which set the skies ablaze above Hammersmith and Fulham with a sensational 12 shows over 2 nights.
Billed as a unique new way to experience both Halloween and Bonfire night, Fawkes Festival ran from October 28 to November 5, 2023.
21CC Events & Design, 21CC Productions, 21CC Fireworks and newly acquired laser company, Funktioncreep, joined forces to collaboratively bring Fawkes Festival’s series of events to four venues across Scotland. Venues spanned over four local authority areas including Midlothian (Dalkeith Country Park ), East Ayrshire (Dean Castle), West Lothian (Hopetoun House) and East Lothian (Gosford House). Over 83 different types of fireworks products lit up the skies during each firework display throughout the series, complemented by state-of-the-art lasers and audio systems to match beautiful music to beautiful colours.
21CC Group’s Fireworks team successfully created truly incredible fireworks displays and the experience was billed as a unique way to experience Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night.
21CC Events & Design team led with venue sourcing, event management, contractor and supplier management, marketing, brand inception and development, licensing, customer service, health & safety, resourcing, logistics and operational delivery.
In addition, 21CC Productions and 21CC Events & Design made their debut in London working with designer and organiser, GC Live and in partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham Council towards creating London’s biggest eco and pet-friendly alternative to fireworks, which set the skies ablaze above Hammersmith and Fulham with a sensational 12 shows over 2 nights designed by award-winning lighting designer Durham Marenghi, who worked on the late Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee.
The Fawkes Festival London events – were 21CC showcased expertise and the latest and best equipment in special effects and laser technology – were a hugely successful, action-packed, environmentally, and animal-friendly evening for everyone.
Fawkes Festival attracted thousands of guests across this brand-new series, both in Scotland and London, and also attracted extensive media coverage, including a live interview from BBC in London, coverage from STV News, Daily Express, Scottish Daily Mail. The Daily Record, Edinburgh Evening News, The Herald, The Scotsman, London TV and many more.
