Working with designer and producer, GC Live to create and develop a brand-new, magical illuminated Christmas experience, Starry Nights at Dean Castle, set to take place on the grounds of the majestic Dean Castle between December 8 and 23, 2023. Starry Nights would showcase the best that 21CC Group’s event sector supply chain services can deliver including event management, technical production, stakeholder management, health & safety, licensing, and marketing. The main goal for this experience was to bring the spirit of Christmas to Kilmarnock by producing a truly dazzling festive event for attendees.
Drawing on our wealth of experience in creating Christmas-inspired illuminated trails, 21CC Events & Design led with planning and delivering the event and 21CC Productions was appointed as the key technical supplier. 21CC Productions’ remit included designing the power plan, installations around the site, lighting and design overlay and including all supportive power and control for this extensive, high-standard lighting experience. Meanwhile, 21CC Events & Design drove forward stakeholder and contractor management, site planning, dressing & design and oversaw the operations, event management and customer service aspects of Starry Nights at Dean Castle.
For the second time in 2023, the teams at GC Live and 21CC Group joined forces with Cash 4 Kids – this time for the West of Scotland – we were very proud to play our part in helping with the charity’s Mission Christmas campaign. Funds raised from Starry Nights allowed Cash For Kids to support 4,925 local disadvantaged children across Ayrshire.

This brand-new and exciting Christmas event in Kilmarnock attracted extensive media attention and an impressive number of attendees from across Scotland, providing them with a truly unforgettable Christmas experience set in a beautiful location. In its inaugural year, Starry Nights dates and time slots were sold out on a number of operational nights. Additionally, the event attracted national media attention from the likes of The Herald, STV, The Daily Record, The Scottish Sun, Scottish Daily Express, Country and Townhouse, The I Paper to name just a few.
